Construction Window Cleaning
Post Construction Clean-up on windows is no small task!
Whether you are building your dream home, or are a builder with a multi-unit project, those windows are going to be filthy. Dirt is just the beginning. After all those trades have come and gone and left their mark, you will find everything from paint and varnish to cement and grout on every piece of glass. More things you find in abundance are adhesive, silicon, joint compound, tape residue, and don’t forget mud. Bottom line, post construction clean-up of windows is dirty business and we’re here to clean it up!

Commercial Buildings
We recommend at least a 2 Phase cleaning schedule to prevent last minute project surprises and for better cleaning results. Many builders make the mistake of saving the window cleaning for a last minute afterthought prior to owner inspection. The main problem with this is the windows may have been damaged by tradesmen during the construction process. Drywall workers braze the sides of the window with their sanding pole, painters lean their ladders right on the glass, tile workers and welders get permanent black pits on the glass by not protecting the windows near their work. These are just a few common examples that can go unnoticed until the last minute when the window cleaning company comes in to clean off all that mud, paint, and every other construction material off of the glass to reveal the damage.
With a multi-phase cleaning we will come in at an earlier stage in the construction process to do a rough cleaning on the windows. This will provide an inspection point for the builder to take any required action on damaged glass. It will also remove heavy debris from the tracks and frames so they can be maintained. After the 1st and/or 2nd rough cleans have been done, the final cleaning will provide better results on both the windows and the frames for a superior cleaning compared to a last minute “all in” cleaning. The ability to monitor the windows more closely for damages from subcontractors saves money. Note that the tradesmen should be masking the windows near their services with plastic and painters tape to avoid leaving permanent tape residue.
An additional option is to protect your windows well during the entire construction process with plastic and painters tape going all the way to the edges of the frames on the inside and outside. Then before final inspection we can provide a single phase cleaning. At any point during construction the builder can inspect the glass paying close attention to any plastic that has been torn or removed prematurely.
All post construction cleanup proposals require an onsite visit and are provided free of charge.

Window Cleaning FAQs
How do you get the windows so clean?
Many factors go into our high quality service. The short answer is care, training, practice, and high quality tools. The long answer is that our technicians take a great deal of pride in what they do, are trained rigorously by seasoned professionals, get a lot of practice from cleaning windows in many different situations each day, and use the best tools and equipment in the industry. We make it look easy, but there is a lot that goes into every piece of glass we clean.
What are your rates?
Our window cleaning services are surprisingly affordable. We charge only what we have to in order to provide high quality service at a professional level. We also provide many ways to save such as our maintenance programs and promotions. To find out what we charge for your home give us a call at 888-77-CLEAR and we can provide you an estimate with just a few minutes. You can also visit our estimate request form and we will call you an estimate, its that easy!
What do I need to know to get a window cleaning estimate for my home?
We can provide you a fast and accurate window cleaning estimate over the phone with a few simple questions. Some things you will need to consider are:
- How many stories is your home?
- How many square feet is your home?
- Do you have any sunscreens on your windows? (sunscreens are heavier and cover both parts of a window that opens where as a regular screen covers only the portion that opens)
- Are any or all of your windows french-paned? (one window divided into many small squares or parts)
- How many windows will require a step ladder or a large ladder inside your home?
- Are there any debris such as paint or hardwater stains present on any of your windows?
What if my home is very large, can I still get an estimate over the phone?
We provide on-site estimates for most homes over 5000 sq. We can schedule an appointment for a trained estimator to visit your home when is convenient for you to provide you with a quick and firm estimate
What do I need to get a commercial window cleaning estimate?
All we need is a few minutes of your time to provide an onsite estimate and consultation at no charge to help you set up a service program that’s right for your needs. We can provide several options and plans to pick from after visually inspecting your windows and discussing your specific needs.
Can I have my windows cleaned on a regular basis or on a custom schedule?
Yes, in fact you can save up to 35% by doing so. Maintenance programs for residential customers range from tri-yearly to monthly and are very simple to set up. In addition, with a maintenance program you can have the inside of your windows cleaned far less often which saves more money and makes these schedules very flexible.
What about my nice new carpet?
We always wear shoe covers inside your home to protect your carpet and your sensitive flooring. In addition we use mats beneath our buckets and pads and covers for our ladders to protect your walls.
What if it rains on the day my windows are scheduled to be cleaned?
All residential services come with a 48 hour rain guarantee plus 2 weeks rain protection FREE! We will return at no charge to touch-up rain spotted windows if you call within 48 hours. After 48 hours we will return for a touch-up service for only 25% of the original standard service price for 2 full weeks after the original service date.
If the weather is looking sour we can move an appointment to another day at no charge if you wish to postpone. However, rain is actually less of an issue than most people think. In fact, for most average or light rainfall, we can still keep our appointment and you will never notice a difference. This is because rain spots are caused by having dirty dusty windows, not clean windows.
Once I've scheduled a service do I need to do anything before you come to my home?
There is nothing that you have to do in order to have a successful window cleaning service, however, there are some optional things you can do to have the most timely and high quality service possible. You can have any items on any windows sills moved to another location (especially anything fragile you would want to handle yourself). You can have any plants or trees trimmed properly away from your windows and walls. You can avoid spraying windows or screens with a hose (this can permanently damage screens and cause mineral deposits on glass).
